Spindrift Kicks Off 2017 European Tour

Un incredibile mix tra suoni in stile spaghetti western e psycho rock di derivazione più moderna da origine alla musica degli Spindrift, da Los Angeles, una band di sette elementi assolutamente imperdibile. Tra le colonne sonore a cui hanno partecipato con i loro brani anche il film Hell Ride di Quentin Tarantino. Creati dal cantante-songwriter-compositore-produttore-attore Kirpatrick Thomas sono nati a Newark nel 1992 insieme ad altre band locali del periodo come: Jake and the Stiffs, The Verge, Boy Sets Fire, Zen Guerilla and Smashing Orange, influenzati dai Doors, My Bloody Valentine, Hawkwind, Bruce Haack, and Chrome, gli Spindrift erano sperimentali e differenti da quelli di oggi. Arrivano a Torino con l’album “Ghost of the West”, omaggio al mondo cinematografico e musicale western. “Ghost of the West” unisce registrazioni originali, sia in studio che live, insieme a rivisitazioni di vecchi brani della Golden Era dei cowboy e dei fuorilegge più pericolosi. La band include anche membri di Brian Jonestown Massacre e Warlocks.

Debuts latest music video “Dil Gira Na De (Don’t Fall For Me)”

Los Angeles, CA (October 9, 2017) – Xemu Records recording artists Spindrift will be
kicking off a month-long European tour on October 12 th at the Almeria Western Film
Festival 2017 in Taberna, Spain. They will be premiering “Spindrift: Ghost Of The West,”
the bands feature-length, surrealist ghost town documentary/musical (soundtrack on Tee
Pee Records), with an added live performance by the band. The film will consecutively
be available via Vimeo On Demand and iTunes.
The band will continue on to play shows in Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany, as well
as the United Kingdom.

Coinciding with the tour is the first time vinyl release of the bands best-known album,
“The West.” Originally released in 2007, “The West” quickly got the attention of bands
such as The Dandy Warhols and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, both of whom invited them
to join them on their US and European tours immediately thereafter.

California psych, honky tonk, klezmer-all while remaining sonically appealing and cohesive

In addition to the tour and vinyl reissue, Spindrift is also debuting their latest music
video, “Dil Gira Na De (Don’t Fall For Me)” directed by Mike Bruce. Inspired by
Bollywood cinema and resulting in a collaboration with Hindi singer actor/actress Bivas
Biswas & Sapna Ghandi, this new single will also see the light this month via Divine Droid
